"White Lies"
I like this poem because i use to the same thing when i was younger and my mom would get on to me and my dad would too. (Good times) I love the part in there where its states the mom would clean her mouth out with soap saying itll puritfy her lying tongue; then she says she swallows some of the suds thinking itll work from the inside out. That meant to me like she doenst want to tell another one so hoping that the soap would cleanse her of her bad habit of white lies and we all do it lol i know i do, but mostly to get out of things i dont wanna do or dont feel like doing.

I also liked this poem. To me, white lies are okay if they are used to better something. I tell my nana that har buscuits are great, even though they are like rocks. I also like the fact that she swallowed the soap. So many people these days lie and kids are the worst.
I also belive that if you are telling a white lie for a better cause that it makes it alright, but most of the time people push the limits on white lies. I enjoyed the poem because i felt like I could realte to it on a personal level.
